Vetting & Access information
Green
Grants access to all our events. You must have completed our vetting process and have attended one (or more) community or educational event, In addition to attending one (or more) Orientation sessions.
Yellow
Grants access to Educational and community events only. All vetted members begin here, and may repeat this level of access during times of conflict resolution/accountability processes to provide opportunity for growth, and changed behaviour. As per our Tenets, this is a period of pause and refocus, and is never framed as a punishment.
Amber
NO access is granted to any shared educational, community or play events due to an incident that contradicts our Tenets. Where appropriate, Oboedire will seek education, discussion and repair.
Where behaviour places people at risk or seriously breaches our standards, protective action may include removal from activities or termination of membership.
Red
NO access, termination of membership OR membership request denied.
All patrons and participants are expected to adhere to our policies to the best of their ability at all times. Access may become limited during times of conflict resolution and accountability, and access may be revoked altogether if repeated and/or serious incident/s occur
Although we can not guarantee 100% safety, we still do as much as we can to mitigate risks, this includes having a vetted risk profile for each individual participant.
Orientation is time set aside before an event starts, to prepare those new to Oboedire spaces, to go over our tenets and any venue relevant info.
For events or workshops with play and/or tools + equipment, Orientation will include etiquette, the requirements of tool and equipment cleaning with our supplied products, and basic health procedures like bodily fluid tracking etc.
All products, materials, and dungeons typically have different requirements so this is how we ensure all members know ours.
We use vetting forms to gain insight of a person’s practices, basic knowledge , and indications that our Tenets* have been studied.
Once the vetting process is complete we can then offer ticketed places in our workshops, community events, and any additional events offered.
We need to be able to cross-check all ticket names to our vetted/status lists, so please ensure your details are consistent across both!
